Ghost Story Island - Visitor Center

Arrival on Hemlock Harbor

First thing to do when you arrived is go to the right and enter the Hemlock Herald building and talk to the girl in the right corner near the printing machine. She will say that she’ll pay you $50 dollars each, for any hard evidence of ghost you’ll bring her. Leave the place and then go all the way to the left. When you reach the cemetery, there is a guy that will volunteer as a tourist guide. Have a conversation with him and then pick up the pamphlet that he’ll left behind when the magistrate appears. The magistrate will tell you that you need to find a lodge for the night. Walk to the left and talk to the lodger, if you help him find the burial place of his Uncle Silas Moon, he will give you his room at the inn as a reward. You need to go back to Hemlock Herald building for the archives. Go back all the way to the right, when you are at the building, talk again to the girl and she will open the door on the archives room. Go downstairs and then click the cemetery plots box. Turn the pages of the record book and you’ll find Silas Moon was buried in LOT C, PLOT 84. Go back to cemetery at the left and tell the information to the lodger and he’ll give you the key for Room B. Now head your way all the way to the right and enter the Hemlock haunted Inn. A girl will welcome and talk to you. After the conversation, go upstairs and enter your room, 2B. Click on the bed to sleep. While you are sleeping, some scary things will happen, so you will wake up and will investigate. Click on the closet and the woman earlier will appear with her husband. They fooled you! So you warn them to report the incident to the magistrate but the woman will give you information which is “if you want to see the woman in the window, just play her favorite song on the violin”. Leave your room, go downstairs and proceed to the hallway to get the violin and music. Leave the inn after. Go to the ghost hunter at the right and talk to him; however the magistrate will again appear and will take him away so just pick up the binoculars near the tent. Play the violin by moving its bow back and forth. The violin will glow and after playing the song, something strange will happen. You will see a real ghost on the window. Try to use the binoculars to see it clearly. You will see that an old woman open and close the curtains. Go to the mansion and enter the basement. Go upstairs at the left, make sure to be fast because stairs will fall apart. Notice the picture of a couple when you go to the other stairs to enter the next door. Go to the right and use the telescope. While you’re gazing at the view, a voice will ask “Are you looking for someone?” A woman will appear and you will ask her if she is a ghost but will not admit it. But she will help you to find spirits. Her name is Fiona and will tell you to go to Jane, the baker from the Gingerbread house. Exit the place and head your way to the left. Enter the Gingerbread house and talk to Jane, tell her Fiona sent you. She will then press a button and the cake display rack will vanish and be replaced by ultimate ghost hunting equipments that will also be given to you. Here are the equipments, a thermal scanner, emf detector, thermometer and the camera. Jane will explain the use of each gadget. Before you leave the place, grab some hot cross buns on the table. Outside the building, the guy with a salt shaker will hand you some salt, he said that it will keep the spirits away. Get the salt and give thanks to the guy.

Start of Ghost Hunting

Go to the left all the way to the cemetery. Enter through the gates and then move forward, turn left, forward again, turn right, then forward and left till you see the gate marked with letter A. Climb the hill on right and a girl will appear telling you to hide because a guy in cloak will come. So both of you hide and the guy in cloak came with a rose. He went to the grave and you need to use your camera now to take a shot. After taking a photo, the guy will ran off. Now leave the cemetery, you need to get on the gate with H sign as shown on the map. Go back to the Hemlock Herald building and give the photo to the lady so you could have money in return. After taking the money, go inside the bank. When you’re inside, go to the right then go down through a door with bank vault sign. Then use the money in front of the security guard standing next to the vault. After that, his dog will run on the right and will start digging at something. Use the thermal scanner on your back pack that flash in the bottom right corner. You will see a strange glowing figure hammering on something. Leave the vault area and go outside the bank. Return to the Hemlock Herald building where you see the residents are talking and you’ll see that your photo has been made as a front page on the newspaper. The magistrate will come and will tell that it is just another hoax and will tell everyone to get back to their place of residence. Everyone leaves except you, so the magistrate stated that he will keep a very close eye on you.

Meanwhile, a boat docks on the shores near Fiona’s mansion. Run to the right and give the room key to the sailor and he will allow you to use his boat anytime you wish. Get on the boat and head your way to the right on the Alcatraz-like prison. Dock on its port. Go up and enter the building through a door with REPENT sign. Use the emf detector when you get inside. Walk to the right and then use the elevator. Go to section H. Walk to the right again and enter the warden’s office. Place the hot cross buns on the coffee table and then a ghost will eat them and you’ll see it standing in front of you. It will give you a mug shot of an escaped prisoner and will talk to you. After that, go to the location of that prisoner which is written on the mug shot. Exit the office and again use the elevator and go to floor D. Find the cell with number 8. When you go inside, the warden will trap you. But don’t worry, just push the bed and you’ll see a hole. Enter the hole and use the thermal scanner and you’ll see a figure again on the top right corner. Go up and along your way, pick up the sardines, pickaxe and note to prisoner. At the top you’ll find the prisoner and he will talk to you and will tell you a story about Flatbottom and Valiant. You must examine the note as well. Go down and exit the tunnel. When you are inside the cell again, use the pickaxe and start digging to escape. Use the elevator and go to floor A-exit to leave the building.

Ride the boat again and go to the left and dock on the lighthouse. Pick up the unlit torch on the entrance. Light it up with the fire on the other torch inside. Go upstairs but you need to duck when the wind blows to avoid putting out the fire on the torch and of course you to be knocked over. Climb the rope you’ll see on top and then use the thermometer that pops-up again at the bottom of screen. Leave the lighthouse and go to the nearby island. When the temperature on the thermometer drops, return to the lighthouse. You’ll see a floating torch when you get inside. Again, use your own torch and go upstairs. Don’t worry; you will not encounter gusty winds now. On top you’ll meet the lighthouse keeper crying. He will tell you about ship wreckage. Leave the lighthouse and get on the boat and travel north. When you get on the wreckage, go on examine it and you’ll find a locket.

Secrets of Old story started to reveal…..

Now go back to the island near the lighthouse and go down the shores near the mansion. Examine the locket and you’ll see a letter from Fiona for Valiant. Head your way back to the mansion and return to Fiona’s room. Go left and up and go to Fiona which is beside the bed. Talk to her and give her the locket and the note. She will say that Valiant was tricked on the forged letter and says that the ring Henry gave her was at the bottom of the fountain. She cries and walks off. Now, get down and you’ll find a scrapbook. Go ahead and examine it. Now you will be puzzled because you found out that Henry Flatbottom, Fiona and Valiant were friends. But how come he tricked Valiant? And also what’s with the ring Fiona mentioned earlier. Leave the place and go to the left on the fountain at the Main Street. Use the sardines to lure the bird guarding the nest. It will drive her off. Click on the nest and you’ll find a ring with these inscriptions Let my Love bring you Joy.

Now go to the left and return to the cemetery. Next go forward, right, forward, left, and three times forward and then turn right. You’ll be on the top right corner of the map wherein you’ll see the gate marked with letter B. Run to the right and enter the engraver’s shop. Show the ring to the old man and talk to him. On your conversation he will tell you that if you want the whole story, go to the newspaper archives and look up for August 18, 1929. Exit the shop and leave the cemetery and head your way to Hemlock Herald building. Go to the microfilm near the file drawers. Turn the handles till you reach the 1929 year projected at the bottom part of the machine. Now zoom the newspaper and you’ll find out that the magistrate was Henry Flatbottom.

Fiona and Valiant Love Story…

Now that you have an idea of who he was, you’ll return to the cemetery on Lot A, as shown on the map. Now go to the left and you’ll see an unsealed grave which seems doesn’t right. Push the cover and a ladder will appear. Enter and go down. You’ll encounter another maze but this time it will not be so complicated. You just need to follow the pink rose petals for the directions. You’ll end up on a ladder which is a secret passage from the tree stump located near the gate of the cemetery. You’ll hear someone’s coming so you better hide now. The cloaked guy appears and suddenly he sneezed. You’ll show up and confront the guy but he’ll run away and will go on the secret passage on the tree stump and you need to follow him which lead both of you on the Lot A of the cemetery. Chase after him until you end up on the grave where he puts the flower. When you get close to him take off his hood and throw the salt into his eyes. It was the magistrate! He told you to leave the place but instead you confronted him about the crimes he’s responsible with which is sending the forged note to Valiant Lovejoy leading to his death. The magistrate started to confess about her feelings for Fiona and the rest of the story.

That is why, he keeps on visiting the grave and leaving a rose on it and he is doing it for years now asking for forgiveness but still not working. When the wind blows, it blew away the cobwebs on the grave revealing Fiona’s name on it.

The Spirit of Fiona will come out from behind together with the other spirits. She will thank the magistrate for his confessions and will now forgive him.

Suddenly, the spirit of Valiant appears too. Fiona went to Valiant and now that they found each other their spirits will forever rest in peace. And then they disappear. The magistrate will now give you the island medallion as a thank you reward for helping him find peace for himself and for the spirits.

Congratulations!
